Dragonica enters full commercial service as gPotato Europe launches the Tales of the Damned expansion across Europe
A simple free update adds controller support, 50 player Emporia Tournaments and tons of new content to the hit arcade-style 3D side-scrolling MMO
Dublin, Ireland, 15th of October – Dragonica is the free arcade-style 3D side-scrolling MMORPG developed by Barunson Interactive and published by Gala Networks Europe. Since successfully launching into Open Beta on June 10th 2009, hundreds of thousands of players across Europe have entered the world of Dragotaka in English, French and German versions of the game. Today marks the end of the Open Beta phase as the game enters full commercial service with a wide range of new features and content.
With the Tales of the Damned expansion, a wide range of new features have been introduced to Dragonica. First and foremost, controller support has now been added so players with Xbox 360, Playstation 3 or USB game pads can now simply plug their pad into their computer, set up their buttons and start playing. Legacy support for older SNES and Megadrive will continue to be maintained using free third party software.
The update also introduces a wide range of new regular and hero quests across all levels, an increase in the level cap to level 65, a new area called Van Cliff Manor, packed with four tough monsters including a massive Bone Dragon, new mission maps, field maps. A revised mission map scoring system has also been introduced, as well as an improved enchantment system. The hugely anticipated pets system has also been introduced, allowing players to get a companion from the three pets available, Husky the dog, Felix the cat and Griffon the bird.
The hugely anticipated Emporia Tournament system, allowing Guilds to pitch 25 players against each other in frentic arcade-style action has also been introduced, along with a wide range of minor updates across the game. With the end of the Open Beta, gPotato Europe wants to reassure players that there will be no character wipe, and that they can update the game by simply opening the launcher, downloading a free update, and logging into the game as normal to experience the new content.
New players can find out about Dragonica by visiting the official European Dragonica website at http://dragonica.gpotato.eu. There they can download the game, or get the torrent to download through Bittorrent legally. All that is required to play is a free www.gPotato.eu account and the game client.
