The next big update of RIFT arrives this Summer
When the next big update of RIFT arrives this summer, the subscribers are going to receive a surprise: free character transfers. Trion Worlds has announced today that the 1.3 version of RIFT allow players to move to the servers that they wish to go, once a week, bringing all its objects, achievements and awards they have achieved. In addition, guild leaders can move their own guilds, while maintaining their level and experience.
Whether you want to play with friends, take a look at another server, or avoid the tails of the popular servers, you are free to move around Telara. As part of this great experiment, initially there is no limit to the number of times you can transfer your character or your guild.
The character transfers will remain a free service for the foreseeable future, and could become a permanent possibility of experience RIFT. Subscribers may make transfers within the game itself, once the update comes to the title this summer.
RIFT programs 7 days of free game, and Ascend-a-Friend are currently active.
"The MMO games are about playing with your friends, no matter
the server they are, and that is why we offer this as a free service to
our subscribers," said Scott Hartsman, Executive Producer.
"RIFT is so much a game as a service and add the ability to
transfer characters between servers is just another way of getting the
