Talking about MMORPG's and their life utility is necessary to make forced reference to the expansions, that if already in the successfull single player tittles they receive a great importance and generally get to have just one, in this type of games become more numerous and importants. This type of applications allows to remarkably extend the life of a MMORPG but they also suppose an additional cost for the users and not always their results in the quality of game finish being positive but that can arrive to disappoint or to destroy the gameplay completely.
This week we want to mainly deepen on the expansions in the MMORPG's taking from example the case of World of Warcraft and City of Heroes. Great it has been the official secret from Blizzard Entertainment so that any detail did not keep awake on the awaited expansion of World of Warcraft and for that reason the expectations have been very great. From the launching of the game they have been added new contents in the successive patches, contents that in their majority were promises for when the game was launched like the Battlegrounds and the PvP system. Throughout the month October, after the announcement that finally the content of the first expansion of the game in the celebration of the BlizzCon would be unveiled many were the rumors that circulated around Internet. But mainly two possible expansions were those that more form took: "Legends of Azeroth" and "The Burning Crusade", finally has been this last the one that has been confirmed like the one that will see the light.
"Legends of Azeroth" has not been more than a HOAX than has circulated but that, possibly, included all the new features with which a player of World of Warcraft would dream to see in his expansion, perhaps for that reason that rumor was guessed impossible that outside truthful. But what less it hoped the player community is an expansion that, in accordance with the little which it has been confirmed, promises to disappoint the users more than to make them dream. Yeah, a new continent is included, 10 new levels of experience yet what it supposes, up to here nothing of the other world. Two new races: Blood Elfs for the Horde and, if the rumors are certain, Pandaren for the Alliance but, no new class. This is something incomprehensible since really what incentive is going to have a player who already has several high level characters in create one new identical with the only difference of it's physical aspect and its 2 racial abilities. Without speaking that the Blood Elfs is not a newness in the game, if not rather by the shown images and videos they count on the same texture of already existing in Azeroth but with their ears a little shorter.
