Rubi-Ka universe keeps on growing
Some years ago, The Last Journey, who was a great Graphic Adventure creator, released a MMORPG, not using a medieval atmosphere like Ultima Online and Everquest, but a futurist atmosphere similiar to Dune. this MMORPG was called Anarchy Online. As a player, you must choose helping Rubi-Ka rebel clans or Omni-Tek Corporation, who are fighting in a Civil War for Notum, the most important resource at universe.
When Anarchy Online was released, it was a revolution in many aspects, mainly in graphics, because of their textures and special effects, and its weather dynamic system which was able to create amzing sandstorms. Thousands of players got it and began exploring Rubi-Ka, shooting with their plasma guns, using vibroswords or nanotechnology.
But years have passed by and new MMORPG are now much better. That's why Funcom is always working on Anarchy Online, improving it. Continous patches and updates have incorporated many new things to the game. There are three major addons for which are The Notum Wars, Shadowlands and Alien Invasion. So if you were playing Anarchy Online at the beginning and now you would play it again, you'll find that it has become a much more mature game.
