The online jump of Dungeon & Dragons
Who has not enjoyed sometimes playing Dungeon & Dragons, or in the pencil and paper rol game where it was born or in the multiple conversions to the computer and console like Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights among other many. If in Neverwinter Nights powerful online tools for the game were already offered and at the moment thousands of small multiplayer servers created by the players exist and now, from the hand of Turbine, the moment arrives for giving the great jump to the massive online games, to the world of the MMORPG's.

In order to be able to carry out this titanic task Turbine counts on the narrow collaboration of Wizards of the Coast, authors and publishers of the most recent edition of Dungeon & Dragons. It's for that reason that the rules and the mechanics of Dungeon & Dragons Online will be based on edition 3.5 although subject in return to adapt them to the online game and thus to be able to maintain the spirit of the original game and in addition to have a fast paced game, exciting and very fun for players.

The worlds and histories of Dungeons & Dragons are countless so it would be impossible in a single game to reunite them all, for that reason in DDO Turbine it's centered in the continent of Xen'drik, in the world of Eberron, with a new campaign created by Keith Baker and Wizards of the Coast. The players will encounter a region devastated by centuries of wars that only saw their end recently, a place where the magic, powerful monsters and adventures awaits.
