The players will find all kinds of enviroments, as much traditional ones as unique and new yet, or they are indoor or outdoor, underground or in surface, in old ruins, infested warehouses, underground crypts, desert islands, and even in boats on the high seas. And although the adventurers will be able to explore and to initially progress without problems alone the game will encourage to group with other people, up to six simultaneously, to be able to enjoy the best contents, since Dungeon & Dragons Online are based on the team work as it happens in the title of pencil and paper.
 
By now the playable races at launch will be the humans, elves, dwarves, halflings and warforged. Whereas the core of classes available are the Barbarian, Cleric, Fighter, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer and Wizard; although in future updates more races and professions will be added. It's clear that each profession will count with a great number of special skills and feats according the progression of the characters. And about the progression it's necessary to say that the game is based on levels, being the maximum limit at the moment of launching of level 10, although each level will be divided in four ranks, reason why in truth a player when beginning to play will be able to have 40 advance moments.
 
As far as the combat, the boys of Turbine want to break with the automatic attack and wait so predominant in many MMORPG's. For it they propose a combat system in real time designed to be fast and that responds to the necessities of the players suitably whereas they make tactical decisions and coordinated among them. For it the use of our skills and spells will mark the difference between life and death, but coverall the players will depend on their skill to handle the movement controls and target selection, to predict the movements of the enemies and to carry out decisive tactical decisions in real time.
