Mimesis Online

Tannhauser Gate has announced the cancelation of its post-apocaliptic MMORPG, Mimesis Online. Here you have their goodbye words:

Mimesis Online has been a great journey that we started back in 1998. It was a very ambitious project and one of the first Massively Multiplayer Online Games set in a post-apocalyptic world. Mimesis Online was a pioneer in the genre in many ways.

The game was released in January 2002 and received some remarkable attention from the media and gaming community. Soon after the game's release it gathered a devoted base of fans and friends who have supported us through the post-release development and all the updates.

We would like to thank all the players for their suggestions, bug reports, involvement in the community building and the game forums, and foremost for staying with the game through all those years. We remain grateful.

We now feel it is time to use all the experience and technology to move to next projects. We hope you will be there when such are announced. For now watch for The Roots (PC/Xbox) and The Roots: Gates of Chaos (N-Gage) as both titles will be released in 2005.
