Pirates is not only fighting, trading is an important part of the game, buying and selling at each harbour and city according to offer and demand. Each one of three countries needs supplies for growing up. So many missions will be transporting supplies between cities, or protecting convoys from enemy nations or pirates. So with a lot of hard work and a bit of luck you'll changer your sloop for a big war galleon.

Although Pirates of the Burning Sea is focused on naval battles and merchant activity, on a near future a politic simulator will be added so player will rule harbours, collecting taxes, improving defences, and deciding how to invest money. And even land expeditions will be added, where you'll have to seek for lost cities inside jungle, fighting for reaching buried treasures and claming them for you.

Pirates of the Burning Sea is going to be released on May 2005, but this date hasn't been confirmed yet. Flying Lab Software is an independent developer studio without being supported by any major distributor, but it seems that distribution for USA has been assured and European distribution is being negotiated. Beta test hasn't been announced either. But an Asian version has already been programmed targeting on Asian market where new nations like Korea, China and Japan will be added, so you'll be able to fight at Pacific Ocean. This version would later be sold as an expansion so Caribbean and Pacific servers would be merged. By: MMOGInfo.Com Score: ( 7 ) |
